President Ruto appoints Munyori Buku, Eric Ngeno, Wanjohi Githae to PSC

The appointments under the office of the President will see Munyori Buku take over as Public Communications Secretary, David Nzioka as Digital and Innovations Secretary while Eric Ngeno will be the Messaging Secretary and Speechwriter in the presidential communication office.

Mr. James Kinyua will be the Branding and Events Secretary while Mr. Wanjohi Githae becomes the Public Communications Director.

Meanwhile, the Head of State has split the office of State House spokesperson held by Hussein Mohamed with that of the Head of Presidential Communication Service (PSC) occupied by David Mugonyi.

The change was made in Executive Order No.1 of 2023 issued by the Head of State on Monday reassigning functions and institutions among Ministries and State Departments.

According to the previous order, Executive Order No.1 of 2022, State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed was appointed to be the deputy to the Head of Presidential Communication Service David Mugonyi.

The State House Spokesperson will lead a team of communicators, and researchers and will provide an interface with other arms of government.

Other key offices under the Office of the President include; Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service, Secretary to the Cabinet, State House Comptroller, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Council of Economic Advisors, Office of the National Security Advisor, Office of the Women Rights Advisor, Office of the Council of Climate Change Advisor, The Private Secretary to the President, Office of Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy and Office of the Economic Transformation.
