The National Police Service has come out to reassure  Kenyans that it has bolstered security in the country following twin suicide bombing attacks in Kampala, Uganda on Tuesday.

The Kampala attacks occurred within three minutes of each other with the first bombing taking place at 10:03 am near Kampala Central Police Station and the other happening at 10:06 am near Raja Chambers and Jubilee Insurance building.

At least six people were killed and several others injured in the two separate suicide bombing incidents.

“The National Police Service assures the public of their security and safety following terror-related incidences in our neighbouring country earlier today,” the police said on Tuesday.

The police consequently sent condolence messages to the victims of the attack and the people of Uganda in general.

“Our sympathies to victims and families who were affected by such an atrocious act,” the National Police added.
