Police pursue suspect after woman found strangled to death at a lodging in Emali

According to Emali Township assistant chief Michael Kivondo, the suspect and victim checked into a lodging in Emali around midday on Sunday.

He claimed the lady was later discovered dead at the lodging, with her male companion nowhere to be found. The circumstances surrounding the alleged murder are still unknown.

According to the assistant chief, preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was strangled with a towel; her body has been moved to Kilome Nursing Home Mortuary while investigations continue.
