Police probe suicide as body of missing woman, 79, found in Makindu

According to Kai sublocation senior assistant chief Mwandia Munywoki, her family thought she went to Mbooni to greet her daughters, but when she did not return, they began searching for her. 

After a spirited search, the body of the elderly woman was discovered hanging from a nearby tree. 

Investigative teams from the police and detectives visited the scene and moved the body to the mortuary at Makindu Hospital. 

Munwoki encourages residents to seek help from the government or religious leaders when they are stressed by life.
