Police launch manhunt for gang terrorising Kirinyaga residents

In the daring attacks, the gang is said to have been targeting innocent citizens before violently robbing them at gunpoint. 

In the first incident, the armed robbers targeted an M-pesa agent from Kerugoya town. They shot dead one person before escaping to an unknown location.

As this happened, another victim reportedly fell into the hands of the gang and was stabbed and left nursing severe stab injuries before breathing his last. 

The spate of the attacks has got locals worried and seeking a quick probe by authorities. Kirinyaga Central OCPD John Torori said investigations into the incidents are at an advanced stage.
