Police hunt down matatu driver who hit, killed petrol station attendant

One person has been confirmed dead following a Thursday accident at Total Rosslyn Petrol Station in Ruaka, Kiambu County.

CCTV footage from the petrol station shows 3 personal cars waiting for fuel, and as a lady attendant is busy fuelling one of the cars, a bus is seen ramming into the petrol station, hitting two cars and the female attendant.

The driver of the bus KBR 983K belonging to Minibus-Runka sacco is at large.

According to a police report at the Karuri Police Station, investigations have been launched to ascertain what caused the accident.

The search for the driver of the bus has been intensified after he abandoned the bus at the scene of the accident.

He is yet to be identified. Meanwhile, renovation work has began at the affected total petrol station.
