A Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Garissa is on the
spotlight after footage emerged of him storming a restaurant while armed with a
knife and then chasing customers around.
A CCTV footage of the Albeik hotel that has since gone viral captures
a group of women rushing inside the establishment, with a knife-wielding Jarajila Ward MCA Noor Farah hot on their heels.
He chases the women around with the knife, and even makes his
way into the kitchen section where he continues with his antics and causes an
almost stampede at the entrance as many people rush out to avoid falling victim to the violence portrayed.
The MCA is seen chasing the people outside for a few seconds, after
which he makes his way back to the hotel and tosses around a few chairs, all
the while still holding the knife.
He then marches around like a soldier, and even salutes towards a section of people in the kitchen section, before marching out of
the video as the near three-minute video comes to an end.
Garissa sub-county police boss Samwel Boit confirmed the incident, noting that investigations have since been launched.
