Panga wielding wife, brother attack man over butchery

A businessman is recuperating at Muranga Level Five Hospital after he was attacked Wednesday night by his wife and brother following a property dispute.

The ugly incident that occurred in Kigumo’s Njiiris  area reportedly saw the two accused attack the man with pangas they had picked from his butchery when he was asleep.

They inflicted serious injuries on his head and hands causing severe bleeding.

Henry Kariuki Mwangi, 41, said he had not anticipated such an occurrence since they had dined with the two the previous night.

“We had dinner together and we slept in our room with my wife as usual. It is so unfortunate that my wife and my form four brother had colluded to attack me,” narrated Kariuki.

He said that he struggled with the two, whose agenda – he says, was to kill him and take over his property including a shop, a hotel and a butchery.

Police are in pursuit of the two suspects who escaped after the attack.
