Otiende Amollo slams Ruto over sword remarks, says he shall not be cowed
The President last weekend issued a warning that he would be forced to use his ceremonial sword to deal with people who were determined to sabotage his legacy projects.
Amollo, during the commissioning of a water project at Osewre primary on Friday said that he is among those who are being targeted because of their hard stance.
He argues that he is being targeted because he is the one who keeps leading lawyers to court to oppose some of the government projects, but told the Presidents that he is not afraid of such threats whatsoever.
"The person he was talking about is Otiende Amollo, because I am the one who keeps leading lawyers. I am not afraid. You can send a million people and I will not be threatened," Amollo said.
Amollo further lamented that it is quite unfortunate that instead of dealing with the current high cost of living, President Ruto’s lieutenants have instead mastered the art of politicking.
He challenged them to show what they can bring to the people in terms of development instead of crisscrossing the country with empty rhetoric.
The MP took issues with his predecessor Nicholas Gumbo, who recently criticized his work and challenged him to push for the completion of the stalled road projects in the constituency if he claims to have gone to the UDA party to solicit for development.
Amollo told such people not to visit the already established projects in the name of bringing development, saying that they should just initiate new projects.
The legislator warned Gumbo against badmouthing him, saying that the former MP should leave him alone because he (Otiende) is not responsible for his political misfortunes.
