Notorious highway robber arrested by police in Turkana County

Police said the suspect, Gedion Emojong Angelo, was arrested in the ongoing ‘Operation Komesha Uhalifu North Rift' that seeks to tame the vice.

He is said to be behind a spate of criminal activities linked to banditry attacks and highway robberies in Lorogon area, Turkana County.

He is also suspected to be the mastermind behind the theft of camels earlier this month in Kalemorok within Logoron area, Turkana East Sub-County.

The suspect is being held at Kainuk Police Station pending his arraignment.

"As the National Police Service, we extend our gratitude to members of the public for the continuous cooperation and collaboration in our joint efforts of ending crimes, and nabbing criminals,"police added.
