Nobody wants a drug addict: CS Mutua tells overseas job seekers

Speaking at a recruitment exercise in Roysambu on Wednesday, CS Mutua noted that no applicant abusing cannabis or any drug will be allowed in a foreign State, costing them lucrative opportunities abroad.
The CS lamented the spiking drug abuse cases in the nation, warning that many will be rendered jobless if they fall into the boundless trap.
"Bhang is not food, it's not ugali, you will not die if you don't smoke it. Nobody wants a drug addict or anybody drugs in their system in their country. They are not wanted anywhere in the world," he said.
"They don't want people with blood that has drugs."
The jobs being offered include nursing, driving, cooks, and other skilled workers.
CS Mutua further boasted of Kenya's labour capacity, adding that citizens often sabotage the opportunities.
"Tuna shida moja nchini Kenya we complain. Jobs are there if you're qualified," he noted.
He urged them to enroll in training programmes for jobs being offered overseas and be awarded certificates to authentical their qualifications.
