'No more long walks to access Gov't services': Ruto opens Rangwe sub-county headquarters

President William Ruto has announced that all government services will now be available to the people of Homa Bay County after he officially opened the Rangwe Sub-County Headquarters on Friday.

The new facility will support coordination of government services and operations in the area, providing a central point for engagement between the public and various departments.

The office will also support the work of National Government Administrative Officers and other agencies including NRB, CRS, NPS, DCI, APS operating in the sub-county.

“Nimefika hapa kufungua hii jengo ya Rangwe Sub-County Headquarters ili wananchi wa hapa mnatotafuta kitambulisho, birth certificate na huduma zingine zote za serikali mpate mahali karibu,” he stated.

The Head of State further stated that he had finally found a solution to the electricity menace in the county, adding that he has ordered Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi to ensure over 25,00 households are connected to the grid before the end of the year.

“Jana tumeanzisha mpango mkubwa wa kuunganisha stima kwa watu wa Rangwe na Homa Bay. Serikali ya Kenya imetoa shilingi bilioni mbili na laki moja kuunganisha watu elfu kumi na sita wapya kwa huduma ya stima hapa Homa Bay,” said Ruto.

“Mliniambia wakati nilikuja hapa Homa Bay ya kwamba nyumba nyingi bado ziko kwa giza…ati stima haijapatikana, na ndio nikawaambia tunaenda kutafuta pesa, na sasa nimeamrisha Waziri wetu wa stima Opiyo Wandayi kwamba hapa Homa Bay kabla ya November, manyhumba zingine elfu ishirini na tano zitakuwa zimeunganishwa na stima.
