NMS conducts test run at new Green Park bus terminus
The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) is on Tuesday set to carry out a test run on the Green Park bus terminus to iron out any issues that may arise before the actual launch.
All PSVs from Nairobi railway station stage will do a test run of dropping passengers at the newly constructed Green Park terminal.
With an expected launch date of early next month, NMS is putting final touches on the park with the test run scheduled for early morning.
Matatus from Ngong, Kibera, Rongai and Dagoreti will terminate their journeys at the terminus.
The Green Park coordinating committee has however warned unscrupulous individuals to stay away from the park after some individuals were caught planning to sell parking spots to matatu saccos.
Green Park terminus, which will act as the drop-off and pick-up point for matatus plying Ngong and Lang’ata routes once the decongestion process begins, has seen its completion date pushed forward severally.
Early this month President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga inspected the terminus and were taken around the nearly half-finished park that has already been fitted with shades and seats for commuters as they wait for their rides.
