Nigerian President Buhari in Eldoret for KDF prayers

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in the country Wednesday afternoon and was received by his host President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Moi International Airport, Eldoret.
He received full state honours including a 21 gun salute from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
President Kenyatta and his guest left for Moi Barracks in Eldoret for an interdenominational memorial service in honour of KDF soldiers who were killed in El Adde, Somalia following an Al Shabaab attack.
The service is also being attended by the Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud who jetted into the country Wednesday morning.
The Somali leader was received by senior government officials led by the Deputy President William Ruto and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohammed.
The prayer meeting is the second that President Kenyatta is attending in a fortnight.
Last week, the President led other political leaders and Government officials at a similar interdenominational service at the Armed Forces Memorial Hospital in Nairobi.
