Former Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani officially assumes office as chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) board.
Former Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani has officially assumed office as chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) board.
Speaking at NTSA headquarters in Nairobi, Mwashetani reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to improving road safety and service delivery.
He commended the Authority’s management and staff for their dedication to serving the public, further assuring Kenyans that NTSA will work within its mandate to curb road accidents and enhance safety on the country’s roads.
“We will do everything possible to reduce road carnage and ensure safer transport systems,” he stated.
Mwashetani was welcomed by NTSA Director General George Njao and Head of Corporate Support Services Jacob Sisey.
President William Ruto appointed Mwashetani to serve as a non-executive chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for a period of three years.
