Narok ready for President Ruto development tour, says Governor Ntutu

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu
President William Ruto concluded his five-day working tour of the Mt. Kenya region, in what appears to be a change of strategy aimed at silencing his critics.
“We are ready in Narok to receive our President… He will bring us a lot of goodies, and I am urging my people in Narok to come out in large numbers to welcome him,” said Governor Ntutu.
President Ruto is scheduled to conduct the development tour on the 28th and 29th of April. Among the key projects he is expected to launch is the construction of an international airport, which will boost tourism in the Maasai Mara. Tourists will be able to land directly at the Narok-based airport instead of going through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.
“I asked the President for one thing—to give us an international airport. We want our tourists to fly directly from their countries to Narok without going through Nairobi,” added Ole Ntutu.
The President is also scheduled to tour Suswa in Narok East Constituency, where he will launch several market projects, and later address a rally in Narok Town.
Governor Ntutu described the visit as a broad-based tour, coming just months after the handshake between the ODM and UDA parties.
“Even supporters of Raila Odinga will be here because now we are under a broad-based approach,” said Ntutu.
President Ruto is also expected to visit Kilgoris Constituency, where the construction of the Kilgoris-Angaga road is still pending.
