Narok: Dispute between cousins ends in fatal stabbing

A family dispute pitting two underage cousins turned tragic after one of them stabbed the other to death in Narok County on Saturday.

The incident, reported at Narok Police Station, saw a 17-year-old girl arrested over the death of her 16-year-old kin.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the deceased, who hails from Fanaka Estate in Narok Central, died after bleeding profusely from injuries sustained during the altercation.

Efforts by neighbors to stop the fight bore no fruits as it was too late to save the victim's life. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Narok County Referral Hospital.

The deceased's cousin has been placed in custody pending arraignment on Monday, December 23, 2024.
