Nairobi Water warns of hefty fines for illegal connections

In a statement, Nairobi Water announced that it is waiving penalties for individuals who voluntarily regularize their connections by April 30, 2025.

Customers with illegal water connections are encouraged to visit their regional offices to make these adjustments.

However, those who are found to have illegal connections after the waiver period will face charges and potential prosecution.

Nairobi Water also indicated that individuals found culpable will be required to pay any applicable fines and penalties.

Customers have also been urged to pay their outstanding water bills using the available payment methods to avoid service interruptions.
