Motorists plying the Muthaiga-Kiambu road II will be required to seek alternative routes for about three days beginning Saturday.

“This is due to the ongoing construction of a footbridge at Km 0+500. All vehicles are requested to use the alternative routes.”

The authority advised all motorists in the affected area on the Thika Superhighway to use the following routes so as to join the Kiambu road;

From Thika Superhighway, one can use the Muthaiga Road-Serengeti Avenue - Mau Park Road, Pipeline Estate Road -Coffee Garden Dr Road, Coffee Garden Dr Road, or alternatively Ridgeways Road.

One can also use Muthaiga Road that goes around Muthaiga Golf Course through Serengeti Avenue to Mau Park Road and join Kiambu.

The other option is via Pipeline Estate Road onto Coffee Garden Dr Road which links you to Kiambu road or one could simply consider Coffee Garden Road to link you to Kiambu road.

Consequently, for those moving from Thika Superhighway at the interjection of Mountain Mall, one could also use Ridgeways Road, which serves the same route to Kiambu Road.

As the authority pleads for inconveniences caused, motorists are implored to exercise road discipline caution when traversing the affecting areas.
