Mudavadi faults Jubilee for undermining NADCO report
Speaking in Makueni County during the Thanksgiving Ceremony of Devolution PS Terry Mbaika, Mudavadi questioned Jubilee Party's hesitance in accepting the NADCO report that has been approved by Kalonzo Musyoka and Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.
“If Kalonzo and Ichung’wah, the chairs of NADCO have approved the report, then it is Jubilee that is bringing complications among the Azimio coalition. Why is it that Uhuru Kenyatta and his team do not want to respect the results? What is the double game here?” Mudavadi posed.
The Prime CS termed the resolutions in the NADCO report as a solution to various challenges facing the country, and one that will ensure peace in the country.
“Let us respect that due process. The report will be tabled in parliament and they will give us directions,” he added.
Advocating for transparency and open dialogue, he emphasized the importance of understanding and accepting the findings for the collective political future.
Recent reports have indicated that the former Head of State is not in approval of the report that was released after the end of bipartisan talks on November 29, 2023.
Uhuru’s dissatisfaction has been seen to be the reason for dissent among Azimio members, who have since been split over the NADCO report.
