Mudavadi: Efforts underway to fix SHA gaps and ensure affordable healthcare

Mudavadi said the government is cognizant of the challenges Kenyans are encountering with the new health scheme adding that every effort was being made to streamline the scheme.
Speaking in Malava, Kakamega County during a requiem mass for the late Malava MP Malulu Injendi, Mudavadi cautioned politicians against using funerals to settle political scores.
Injendi who passed away last month will be laid to rest at his Malava home tomorrow with President William Ruto expected to lead other leaders during the ceremony.
Mudavadi cautioned those planning to disrupt the funeral to keep off in order to accord the late MP a decent send off.
His sentiments were echoed by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula who asked mourners to accord the president and the family respect during the funeral.
Former UDA Secretary General Senator Cleophas Malala said area residents were expecting the president to announce development projects during the funeral.
Western region, he said has been marginalized despite rallying behind President Ruto during the 2022 General elections.
The president, he said has concentrated on development projects in Nyanza further adding to the misery of voters in the area.
He further asked the president to release Sh. 300 million bonus for sugarcane farmers in Malava which has two factories.
Sirisia MP John Waluke asked residents of Western region to rally behind President William Ruto to unlock development in the area.
