MP Junet Mohamed accused of sidelining his constituency

Some of the residents who spoke to Citizen Digital said they suffer from lack of electricity as most of the homes in the region are not connected with power.

According to Barack Ogaja, a retired chief, power connectivity was one of the major campaign agenda of the current MP, but to date many homes are still in darkness.

The retired assistant chief claims the region has been sidelined by the incumbent Member of Parliament.

Ojaga added that cattle theft cases have also affected the region but they are not getting support from the legislator.

His remarks were echoed by Sally Mbone, who wants the Member of Parliament to look into how deserving learners can get bursaries without discrimination.

Mbone claims that some of the learners in the region have not been able to get bursaries because officials working in the CDF office discriminate against them on the basis that their parents do not support the legislator.

In his response, Junet Mohamed said some of the claims made by the constituents are politically instigated as he is doing a lot in the constituency.

Junet said the issue of electricity is being addressed and very soon, the homes will be connected.
