MP aspirant sold his buses, chemists, car to finance campaign. He lost, now he's a boda boda rider

A lot can change in a man's life when he decides he wants to be the vehicle of change in his community.  Peter Omosa is that man who is now riding a different wave of life.

His desire to lead began in 2017, after an encouragement from his church in Embakasi South.

He lost his first attempt, but a by-election in 2019 gave him a second chance. One that he lost once again.

Peter is a man of the people, he constantly stops to exchange pleasantries.

However, he lost an opportunity to contest in the 2022 election, after missing a ticket from Azimio la Umoja coalition.

With the handout culture so rife during elections, he had nothing more to offer the electorate financially. So, he stepped back.

“I had a piece of land somewhere, which I almost sold. But my wife refused,” he recounts.

Peter was a man of means, who owned public service buses plying the CBD - Embakasi route, two chemists and a top of the range vehicle.

Now, he gets around with this motorcycle which friends helped him acquire.  It is also the source of his daily bread.

Once bitten twice shy, Peter is non-committal on whether he is done with politics, but if he chooses to run again, he vows to use his money wisely.
