Mother of slain Kiambu businessman George Mwangi speaks

Mwangi's mother Priscilla Wanjiru says the family is still in shock following the murder of her 58-year-old son and arrest of his wife politician Gladys Chania, as the prime suspect. The family describes the late Mwangi as a calm and collected family man.

"We met two days before, to celebrate the birthday of grandparents who were marking 90 years. We greeted each other and he said he is going to his Mangu home. That was the last time and I did not see any problem with him,” said Mwangi’s mother Priscilla Wanjiru.

The family would later receive a call from Mwangi's wife Gladys Chania on Tuesday morning informing them that the businessman had allegedly disappeared from their home.
