The two leaders met on Friday while attending the burial of Mau Mau freedom fighter Field Marshal Muthoni wa Kirima at Kinunga Stadium in Nyeri County.
Despite their public disagreement witnessed in the past week, the duo warmly interacted in the presence of a host of other leaders at the event.
The perceived tension between the pair has been witnessed after DP Gachagua slammed the Trade CS early this week over the manner in which he addressed Kenyans amid uproar on the rise of fuel prices.
Gachagua faulted Kuria and President William Ruto's top economic advisor David Ndii over what he termed " insensitive and talking down on the people" who elected them.
In a tweet seen to be aimed at Gachagua, Kuria later responded saying; "As Minister responsible for Private Sector mine is to advise business based on science not truthful voodoo.”
CS Kuria had been telling off Kenyans questioning the government's decision to increase fuel prices and was even captured on a viral video telling them to ‘dig their own wells if they are dissatisfied with the fuel hikes’.
He later on, while attending events in Kisii and Siaya counties, seemingly fired back at the DP, citing his past comments that Kenya is like a company with shareholders.
Kuria said Kenyans in every part of the country have a right to access development regardless of their political alignment.
"By the mere product that you have that can contribute to our jobs, our foreign exchange and our national GDP, everybody in this country is a shareholder and as I complete this programme you will see that we can all move together," he said.
