Lawyer Morara Kebaso says that Kenyans have been funding his political activism and skits imitating President William Ruto.

The 28-year-old lawyer who has since gone viral over his countrywide sojourn, where he inspects the progress of projects initiated by President William Ruto, said that well-wishers have been supporting his course.

Kebaso, who spoke on Citizen TV’s JKLive Show on Wednesday said he has been receiving cash on his M-Pesa from Kenyans across the globe who are fully behind his commentary work, as an encouragement to do more.

He says that he uses the funds to fuel his car and tour different regions to ascertain whether the projects have been initiated or completed.

“The people of Kenya are sponsoring me; the government knows, Safaricom knows. People have been sending M-Pesa on my mobile number ..people have sent me Ksh.10, 50, some send Ksh.5000 from abroad and that is how I am able to fuel my vehicle and pay my research assistant,” he said.

“So yes, am funded by the people and they will continue to fund me as long as I stay steadfast. They have committed themselves to make sure I never lack as I do this great work.”

Kebaso, who has recently become a sharp critic of the head of state sustained claims that most of President ‘s Ruto’s projects are either stalled or have never been started at all.

He underscored the importance of the work he does to keep the government in check, reiterating that he is not worried about his welfare because if he allows such thoughts, fear might creep in and he throws away everything.

The father of two went on to claim that at some point, he had been threatened and even been trailed by vehicles with unidentified plates.

“If I worry too much I will not do what I am doing. What I am doing is extremely risky. I have had incidences where my phone is tracked and vehicles with untraceable number plates hanging around my home,” he noted.
