The Catholic Church in Kenya has ordained the first-ever
blind Catholic Priest in the country.
Reverend Michael Mithamo King'ori of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri was conferred holy orders on Saturday by Archbishop Anthony Muheria.
“Jubilation and thanksgiving to God as the Catholic Church in Kenya witness the extraordinary ordination of the first blind priest, Rev Deacon Michael Mithamo King'ori of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri to the priesthood,” Radio Maria Kenya announced on Social Media.
“His is a story of "with God, all things are possible." Congratulations to Fr Michael Mithamo and gratitude to Rev Anthony Muheria for granting such a fete of grace.”
Prior to his appointment, Mithamo was a deacon at the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri.
