The body of Martin Mwau, the second of three men who went missing in Mlolongo last December, has been found at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly known as City Mortuary.

This comes soon after the body of Justus Mutumwa was also identified at the same facility.

Mutumwa had gone missing on December 16, 2024, alongside Mwau and Karani Muema. For over a month, their families had been searching for answers regarding their disappearance.

According to Mutumwa's family, his body was collected from Ruai and taken to the mortuary on December 18th, just two days after he went missing. It remains unclear where Mwau’s body was recovered before being taken to the facility.

The discovery of Mwau’s body adds to growing concerns over the circumstances surrounding the trio’s disappearance and deaths. Their case has been met with repeated denials from top police agencies regarding their whereabouts.

After ignoring multiple court summons, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mohammed Amin finally appeared in court on Thursday, where they denied any knowledge of the missing men’s whereabouts. Amin stated that the matter remains under investigation.

With two of the three missing men now confirmed dead, pressure is mounting on authorities to provide answers and ensure justice for the victims and their families. The whereabouts of Karani Muema remain unknown.
