Marsabit: Treasure hunters find 23 bombs buried in holes

Twenty-three bombs have been found underground in holes dug by residents of Hellu village, Moyale constituency, Marsabit county.

The bombs were found when unknown people were searching for minerals or valuable materials left behind by the colonialists.

Confirming the incident, Marsabit County Police Commander Leonard Kimaiyo said the devices found were 23 bombs measuring 81 millimeters each.

The area has been secured and KDF officers from Odda camp are assisting in sending an explosive expert to help in the detonation.
