Maraga returns to home church as Chief Justice
Chief Justice, David Kenani Maraga, returned to his home church in Nyamira on Saturday, December 3, where the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church dedicated him to God.
Maraga and his wife, Eucabeth Bosibori, knelt down as pastors surrounded them for prayer at the Sironga Girls School grounds.
He asked the church to pray for him and the entire Judiciary saying: “All laws of the land are hinged in the Ten Commandments and that by serving Kenyans well, he will have serve God.”
Justices Patrick Kiage and Pauline Nyamweya were among the Judiciary officers present.
Justice Kiage said the Chief Justice has set the precedence in leadership of the Judiciary.
Education Cabinet Secretary, Dr Fred Matiang’i, exuded confidence that CJ Maraga will transform the Judiciary.
