Police in Badassa village in Saku, Marsabit County, are investigating a bizarre incident in which a middle-aged man reportedly stabbed his expectant wife to death.

The suspect, Halakhe Dida Dulacha, committed the offence on Monday night, using a knife to fatally stab his wife, following a domestic dispute.

Confirming the incident, Marsabit Assistant County Commissioner David Saruni told Citizen Digital that Dulacha has been arrested and is currently being interrogated at Marsabit Police Station.

He added that the couple had a history of frequent physical altercations.

‘’He fatally stabbed her using a knife. He’s had a history of frequently fighting with his late wife, a mother of four” said Saruni.

Further, Saruni urged locals to find peaceful and amicable ways to resolve personal conflicts, instead of taking matters into their own hands.

“I call upon the local community to seek guidance on maternal issues to avoid such unfortunate scenario in future,” he said.

The incident comes just a week after four family members were arrested at Dololo Boji village in Dukana for killing newborn twins.
