Man sentenced to 150 years in prison for killing his 3 children

While giving out the sentence on Monday, Bomet High Court Judge Justice Julius Kipkosgei Ng'arng'ar passed the judgement with each case running for 50 years consecutively.

Benard Kipkemoi Kirui was found guilty of murdering his 3 sons; Amos Kipngetich (12), Vincent Kiprotich (8) and Emanuel Kipronoh (5yrs) while their mother was away from home.

Justice Ng'arng'ar termed the murder as heinous and inhuman and therefore the sentence will serve as an example to those with intent to commit a similar crime.

However, he stated that Kirui has 14 days to appeal the sentence.

Sharon Cherono, mother to the deceased, applauded the judgment and thanked the court for serving justice.
