Man arrested for fondling women's feet as they slept in holiday resort

Sky News reports that 26-year-old Mark Anthony Gonzales is alleged to have accessed the houses at a resort on the Nevada-California border between July 1 and July 3. 

According to authorities, Gonzales gained unauthorised entry into the houses and entered the bedrooms of sleeping women, where he proceeded to touch their feet.

Both times, the women woke up and confronted him, but he fled the scene.

Investigators utilised forensics to positively identify Gonzales as the alleged perpetrator.

Local authorities also say that he has been linked to multiple trespassing and shoe theft incidents, along with engaging in sexual self-gratification during some of the incidences.

Law enforcement officials expressed concern about the escalating nature of Gonzales' crimes. Following his arrest, he was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of battery. 

Gonzales is currently being held at Merced County Jail on a fugitive warrant and is expected to be extradited to Douglas County to face charges for his actions.
