Kisumu: Investigations after missing woman's body discovered dumped in a borehole

The woman is suspected to have been killed by an unknown person(s) and her body wrapped in a bedsheet, tied, and then dumped in the borehole.
According to villagers, the woman who worked as a caretaker at a fish fingerling rearing site had gone missing on Tuesday.
A search was mounted by locals at the site after her phone went unanswered, only for the body to be discovered inside the borehole last night.
The body was covered in a bedsheet and tied, with the deceased only wearing a skirt. There were visible signs of strangle wounds in her neck.
Polycarp Omindo who is the South West Kisumu location chief, confirmed the incident, saying DCI officers had already picked up the body to begin investigations into the incident.
