According to Kisii County Commander Charles Kases, passersby heard the "Miracle" baby girl crying inside a latrine on Tuesday around 2.30pm, prompting a quick response from Rioma Police officers.
In order to save the little Angel, the officers had to carefully demolish the toilet, which eventually bore fruit.
The infant, wrapped in tattered cloth, was discovered writhing in pain in the latrine but was otherwise unharmed.
Locals praised the officers for braving the pungent smell and heat of the human waste, which the baby also survived.
The girl was then taken to Marani Level 4 Hospital for emergency treatment.
The cops, along with their DCI counterparts, have intensified their search for the baby's mother in the neighborhood.
