Kisii High School student charged with attempted murder

A Form Three student at Kisii High School has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges.

Isaya Flora was arraigned at the Kisii Law Courts before Senior Resident Magistrate Stephen Njoro on Wednesday.

He was charged that on January 12, 2021 within the precincts of Kisii High School, he stabbed two teachers.

Mr. Edwin Mokaya was seriously injured while Mr. Elvis Maoto survived with minor cuts.

The 17-year-old student denied the charges and was released on cash bail of Ksh. 50,000 or bond of Ksh. 100,000.

He will be remanded at Manga Juvenile Home.

The case will be mentioned on January 27, 2021.
