Kisii Governor Simba Arati has reshuffled his
County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) and Chief Officers in new changes
set to take effect immediately.
The move, he said, is aimed at improving services
to Kisii residents in line with promises he made during the campaign period.
The county boss also added that he is keen on incorporating
more technocrats into his administration in order to achieve his goals.
Governor Arati, according to a memo seen by Citizen
Digital, moved Dr. Margaret Kemunto Obaga from the Agriculture, Fisheries,
Livestock Development and Iriigation docket to Infrastructure, Roads and Public
Works.
Dr. Obaga replaces Cyrus Masenge Nyabicha, who has
since been posted to the Trade, Tourism and Marketing docket.
Exiting Trade CECM Dr. Alfred Ndemo Ong’era will,
in turn, head over to the Public Service, County Administration and Public
Participation seat.
The previous holder of the said position, Daniel
Ondabu Nyakundi, has been reassigned to the Education, Technical Training,
Innovation and Manpower Development docket.
Elijah Okemwa Obwori hence leaves his slot as
Education CECM to replace Dr. Kemunto in a similar role in the Agriculture
department.
Medical Services, Public Health and Sanitation CECM
Leah Obwari Ogega and her Water, Environment, Natural Resources, Energy and
Climate Change counterpart will be swapping positions in the changes.
In reshuffling his Chief Officers, Governor Arati
reassigned Vincent Okioma Nyang’wara from Public Service and County
Administration to Infrastructure, Roads, and Road Works.
His position in the Public Service office will be
taken over by Henry Monyancha who leaves the Public Participation, Disaster
Management and Special Programs docket.
The new Public Participation Chief Officer will be
Casper Ondoro, who hands over the Infrastructure department to Mr. Nyang’wara.
Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban
Development Chief Officer Cleophas Odira Okioi and his Economic Planning and
ICT Services counterpart Dr. Kennedy Ben Mwengei will likewise be switching
positions.
