Kisii family seeks help after 4-year-old boy mysteriously disappears from school
Police in Kisii have launched an
investigation following the mysterious disappearance of a four-year-old boy
from Reinha Rosary School in Ogembo, Bomachoge Chache, since Tuesday.
According to the boy's parents, they are
urging the police to trace a man allegedly seen wearing a mask and whisking the
boy away into a white car, before vanishing to an unknown destination.
Citizen TV visited Ogembo Police Station on
Saturday where Joram Osiemo's family and friends appeared dejected and
exhausted as the search for their four-year-old playgroup child, Nimrod Baraka,
has yet to yield any results.
The family has combed the entire Bomachoge
since Tuesday when the young boy mysteriously disappeared from his school.
Nimrod’s mother, Linet Kemunto, painfully
recounted the moment the boy was reported missing on October 8th.
"Mtoto wangu Adrian huwa wanaandamana
naye nyumbani kila siku, sasa hiyo siku Adrian anasema alimtafuta sana baada ya
kuambiwa kutoka shuleni kurudi nyumbani hakujua Nimrod ameenda wapi... hapo
ndio nilienda hadi shule nikaamua kutafuta shule yote hadi kwa choo bila
kumpata,” Kemunto said.
The family is now calling upon security
agencies to investigate reports of the abduction of their little angel, as
reported by his schoolmates.
"Hapo shuleni kuna mtoto ambaye alisema
Joram Osiemo said.
Ogembo OCPD Christine Amaya on her part said;
“Tushachukua statement na uchunguzi wa kumsaka huyu mtoto unaendelea."
Back at Reinha Rosary Primary, the silence
was deafening. The school head teacher was unavailable for comment, but that is
where Nimrod was last seen, dressed in his full school uniform.
At the moment, the entire village is united
in their efforts to ensure Nimrod is reunited with his family.
"We are asking the county and sub-county
commissioners to intervene in this matter and help us search for the child,”
Nimrod's grandfather Alberto Kenyanya pleaded.
Nimrod's grandmother Mary Moraa added,
“Please, kindly help my grandson. I’m really crying."
Despite the family's agony, they remain
hopeful that one day, they will reunite with the child, safe and sound.
