Kirinyaga man arrested for allegedly killing wife, dumping body in sorghum plantation

Detectives in Kirinyaga County have arrested a 37-year-old man accused of killing his estranged wife and dumping her body in a sorghum plantation within Rukanga Village in Mwea West.

Confirming the arrest, Mwea-West sub-county Police Commander Rashid Ali stated that the suspect, Moses Gichugu Njenga, was arrested on Friday night at a hideout in Murang'a.

He was taken into custody for questioning and is facing potential prosecution for murder in connection with his wife’s death.

Authorities believe the suspect killed his wife on February 6, before disposing of her body.
