Kenyans to win millions in Skiza Chapaa promotion

The promotion officially kicked off on March 5, 2024 – and is expected to run until 2nd June 2024; that's 90 days of good tidings.

The promotion awards participants Skiza points based on the number of Skiza tunes one downloads – and the renewals.

To participate, a customer will be required to dial *487*3# – and will be presented with a menu of Skiza tunes to choose from.

Each Skiza tune downloaded will be equivalent to one entry point. Each subsequent renewal will also be equal to one entry point.


An SMS will be sent to the user confirming the Skiza has been downloaded for them, and detailing the number of entries earned to the draw. 



A customer can download as many Skiza tunes as possible. This increases their chance of winning. 


“Skiza Chapaa is collaboration between Skiza na Citizen and Safaricom to synergistically harness and drive significant impact,” said Royal Media Services Group’s Projects Manager Muthoni Kiarie.

“Our goal is to elevate Skiza in order to deliver great value to our artists who are the heart and soul of Skiza na Citizen.

“The approach is to push for a - download and win - contest exclusively tailored for active Skiza subscribers,” noted Muthoni.

The promotion will have two daily draws of Ksh. 50,000 each, two monthly draws of Ksh. 100,000 each. 

A grand prize of Ksh 1 million will be awarded to the lucky winner at the end of the promotion.

Winners of the daily, weekly and grand prize will be contacted on the cellular number from which the subscriber has registered onto the promotion.
