Spearheaded by Voice of Palestine—a coalition including the Jamia Mosque Committee, the Supreme Council of Kenyan Muslims, the National Muslim Leaders Forum, the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya, and others—the initiative will see cattle slaughtered in Egypt, with the meat frozen and transported to Gaza when humanitarian corridors open.
“This is not only about feeding the hungry—it is a stand against genocide and injustice,” said Ahmed Shariff, Chairperson of Voice of Palestine. The campaign responds to what religious leaders describe as a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, with over 52,000 killed, thousands missing, and more than 2 million displaced.
The consortium has called for an immediate ceasefire, the opening of aid corridors, and a stronger diplomatic stance by Kenya on the crisis. Leaders urged President William Ruto and Parliament to raise Kenya’s voice for justice and human rights.
