Agano Party presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has opined that he is best suited to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta compared to his competitors who have previously served in government.

According to Waihiga Mwaure, his political rivals Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga and Prof George Wajackoyah have previously served in government with little to no impact.

As for DP Ruto, he claims that the second in command is still holding public office and should not keep on deceiving Kenyans with promises since he ought to have implemented his plans for the nation during his tenure.

“The other candidates have been there before. One of them has been and is still a Deputy President. He is in government, the things he is saying he can do are things he could have done in the last 10, 20 or 30 years because he has been in government that long,” Waihiga noted.

Waihiga goes on to recall Azimio la Umoja One Kenya flag bearer Raila Odinga’s reign as the nation’s Prime Minister saying he similarly had the opportunity to deliver to Kenyans but failed on his mandate.

“The other one has been a former prime minister; he has been in the coalition, a co-president, sharing the government 50-50. The things he is promising are the things he could have done but has not done; he has been in the race in the last 40 years,” he added.

Roots Party Presidential candidate George Wajackoyah likewise was reprimanded for his service as a police officer and faulted for not positively impacting in his service delivery.

“The other one has been in government; he has been in the police force, in the intelligence and even now he is still in there,” Waihiga remarked.

The Agano party candidate went on to highlight that all the three candidates’ time in power had seen the nation plunge into governance scandals something he says should not be an option for electorates.

“In the last 10 years where we have a DP who wants to run for president, My team and I have counted that in the last 10 years, not less than 22 scandals that have taken place in broad light…for the former prime minister we have counted 12 scandals,” Waihiga claimed.

He added: “You have worked in government, you have travelled across the world and you must know something about our funds stashed abroad, you have been in intelligence, you have served and never retired.”
