The 96th edition of the Kenya Music Festival, the largest event of its kind in Africa, concluded on Sunday at Moi Girls High School in Eldoret.

The 12-day cultural extravaganza saw thousands of learners from across the country participate in a diverse array of performances, including music, dance, and elocution, showcasing the vibrant and rich cultural heritage of Kenya.

This year’s festival was themed "Talent Development for Growth of the Creative Economy," a reflection of the nation’s commitment to nurturing the creative potential of its youth as a cornerstone for future economic growth.

Throughout the event, participants exhibited their artistic talents in various competitive and non-competitive categories, drawing admiration from the audience and judges alike.

One of the highlights of the final day was the song composition category, sponsored by Jubilee Insurance. This particular class emphasized the importance of planning for the future, resonating deeply with the festival’s overarching theme.

Alliance Girls High School emerged as the winners in this prestigious category, impressing the judges with their innovative and poignant performance.

The festival’s grand finale is set to take place at the Eldoret State Lodge on Friday, where the best performers will showcase their talents before an esteemed audience, including state officials and dignitaries.
