Kenya Forest Service officers accused of stealing 12 cows in Molo

The residents want justice and are demanding the return of their cattle.

Residents of Sachangwan in Molo Sub County, Nakuru County, are calling on investigation departments and government leaders to help them get back their cattle that went missing at Koibatek Forest Station.

According to records obtained by the complainants from Molo Police Station, three herders were arrested and seventy-nine cows seized by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) officers for illegal grazing in the forest. After the court process, the herders were fined Ksh.150,000.

However, when they went to collect their cows at the forest station, they found sixty-seven cows, with twelve missing.

The residents want justice and are demanding the return of their cattle, stating that pastoral farming is their means of living.
