The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that it will close a section of Mombasa Road at Imaara Mall from Friday 8pm to Monday 6am.

KeNHA Director General Eng. Kung’u Ndung’u, in a statement released on Friday, said the weekend closure will affect Nairobi-bound lanes.

He went ahead to add that the authority will also on Friday next week – June 7 – from 8pm close the road at the same section but this time for Mombasa-bound lanes until Monday, June 10, at 6am.

The KeNHA boss noted that the stated closures are to allow for the installation of culverts and reinstatement works at the respective sections.

“All motorists are advised to use the two through lanes and approach the affected sections with caution and follow the traffic signs and guidance as directed by the traffic Police and Marshalls,” stated Eng. Ndung’u.

“The Authority remains committed to ensure seamless connectivity to facilitate safe passage for economic prosperity.”
