In an official statement by Manasse Nyainda, KANU's Director of Communications, the party stated that Ronoh's whereabouts remain unknown, sparking concern within the party and beyond.
KANU condemned the act, calling for his immediate release or his presentation in court if any legal charges exist.
"As a party, we have dispatched our lawyers to report and pursue the matter at the nearest police station in Embakasi East," the statement read in part.
"We unequivocally call on the authorities to produce Mr. Ronoh in any court of competent jurisdiction to stand trial if he is deemed to have committed any offense under the law."
Cornelius Ronoh plays a critical role in KANU’s communications, which has made his disappearance even more troubling within the party.
The party has involved legal representatives to escalate the investigation.
KANU, founded in 1960 and once Kenya’s dominant party, is currently led by Gideon Moi, seeking to regain political influence.
This incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures in Kenya's volatile landscape.
The party later confirmed that the officer was set free.
