Kalonzo urges Kenyans to kick out President Ruto in 2027
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says
Kenyans should send President William Ruto packing in 2027 as his government
has failed to deliver what it promised.
The opposition Azimio co-principal said results
from Botswana's elections have set provided an example of how citizens should
deal with bad governance on the continent.
“Duma Boko has
defeated (incumbent President Mokgweetsi) Masisi…so msiseme ati ooh kura
itaibiwa 2027,” he said.
Yatta MP Robert Basil
stated: “Kenyans want better services and if at all former Deputy President Rigathi
Gachagua was impeached then President Ruto should follow suit.”
Kalonzo also spoke on recent reports of
gruesome murders and mysterious disappearances, especially targeting women,
that have sent fear across citizens and a backlash for the security apparatus
in the country.
“It is not right
that we are in the United Nations Human Rights Council yet we have Kenyans disappearing,”
said the former Vice President.
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, on her part,
decried a cash crunch in counties due to delayed disbursement of funds by the
exchequer.
She lamented: “We
are surviving on own source revenue…we are only paying the basics...”
The leaders were speaking on Friday during
a launch ceremony for the book ‘One Acre Rule’ by Bishop Titus Masika.
