Kajiado Education CEC member impeached by MCAs

The Kajiado County Assembly on Tuesday ousted the County Executive Committee Member for Education, Jeremiah ole Ncharo.

Some 21 MCAs voted for the removal of Ole Ncharo, against 20.

The MCAs adopted a resolution by the select committee, led by Keekonyokie Ward representative Amos Sholoi, to remove the CEC on grounds of gross violation, misappropriation of public funds and irregular distribution of bursaries.

 Ncharo was also accused of appointing a ward administrator, contrary to the law.

Per the County Government Act, the Speaker shall therefore promptly deliver the resolution to the governor to dismiss the minister.
