Juja: Ugandan woman arrested in connection with  boyfriend's death

Juja police are holding a 20-year-old Ugandan woman accused of fatally stabbing her 23-year-old boyfriend in Mastore, Juja, Kiambu County, on Monday, January 20, 2024.

The suspect, identified as Cynthia Nakato, a barmaid, is alleged to have inflicted at least seven stab wounds on her partner, leading to his death.

According to a police report, the deceased, 23-year-old Peter Macharia, suffered multiple deep cuts on his right arm.

Following the incident, the victim's body was transported to Thika General Kago Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Juja police boss Jackson Sang confirmed the gruesome attack, stating that the suspect stabbed the victim more than seven times.

He also urged young couples to seek alternative, peaceful methods to resolve their disputes, emphasizing the tragic consequences of violence.

Nakato remains in custody at Juja Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.
