John ‘KJ’ Kiarie retains Dagoretti South MP seat
Incumbent
Dagoretti South MP John ‘KJ’ Kiarie has been declared the winner of the just
concluded polls.
It was
song and dance at the Constituency tallying cenre on Thursday evening when KJ,
who contested for the seat under a UDA ticket arrived to receive his nomination
certificate.
He retained his seat after clinching 26,394 votes against his main opponent from
Jubilee Party Dennis Waweru, who got 22,773 votes.
After receiving
his certificate, the MP-elect thanked Dagoretti South
residents for facilitating his win.
Earlier, Waweru’s supporters had stormed the PC Kinyanjui Technical hall, protesting the election results.
